The 2025 Building Bridges Conference is dedicated to enhancing understanding within the church regarding support for individuals impacted by abortion. The event aims to transform a traditionally silent church into one that actively supports individuals facing abortion-related challenges.

Attendees will hear from speakers such as Samuel Green, President & General Counsel of Reason for Life, on how the abortion’s industry is targeting the church; Sylvia Blakely, RN, MS, sharing perspectives on the effects of the abortion pill; and Susan Swafford, who will talk about finding hope through her church and creating a culture of compassion in your community. You will be encouraged by additional testimonial speakers who have moved from hidden pain to healing and a life that now flourishes in Christ and helps both women and men be free from the shame and guilt that often remain buried after abortion.

This one-day conference offers information, presentations on various perspectives, relevant resources, and personal accounts. Participants will learn about approaches to foster understanding and practical methods to offer support, including how to establish support groups within church settings and access available resources for individuals affected by abortion.
Samuel Green
Reason for Life
The abortion industry is targeting the church, and many churchgoers have been deceived—with devastating consequences. Learn how pro-life churchgoers and pastors can address the crisis with grace and truth from God’s Word.
Samuel Green is the President & General Counsel of Reason for Life, a non-profit Christian ministry working to end abortion in America. Samuel has preached at churches, spoken at colleges and law schools, and written pro-life articles for numerous publications. He also filed a supporting legal brief in the U.S. Supreme Court case that overturned Roe v. Wade.

Aaron Force
Aaron committed his life to the Lord at a young age and has since dedicated himself wholeheartedly to Jesus. With 19 years of experience in full-time ministry - primarily serving as an assistant pastor - he brings a deep passion for nurturing spiritual growth within the church. His heart is to see the body of Christ mature in love, grace, and compassion so that those facing darkness will be brought closer to the light of Jesus.

Steven Paez was saved from a life of gangs, drugs, alcohol, and abortion and is a redeemed by be the blood of Jesus. He now serves as a full-time missionary to the unborn. By God’s grace Steven has witnessed over one thousand babies saved from abortion and over one thousand people come to Christ outside abortion clinics.

​Tiana Chen is a compassionate advocate and dedicated to supporting individuals on their journey toward post-abortion healing. As the facilitator of Mantle of Hope and co-facilitator for Rachel's Vineyard Retreats, she provides safe, nurturing spaces for those seeking emotional and spiritual restoration. Through her work, Tiana empowers participants to find hope, reconciliation, and renewed purpose.

Arise Daughter
Sylvia Blakely, RN, MS, Founder of AriseDaughter.org, chose to have an abortion during college. She briefly worked as a contraception advisor for Planned Parenthood. For 20 years, she saw this decision as beneficial for her career. Later, convicted by the Holy Spirit, she sought God's forgiveness. It took another 20 years before she found true freedom through a post-abortion healing program. Sylvia authored “Arise And Fly Free: A Holy Spirit-Led Guide to Healing for Post-Abortive African American Women.” She is dedicated to helping others find freedom, transformation, and purpose.

Susan, the founder of Broken from Silence, partners with churches, organizations, and individuals to support those affected by abortion. She authored "Broken from Silence," a Bible study for restoring wholeness after abortion. Susan has experience in jail ministry, conference speaking, and leading Restoring Wholeness women's retreats. For nearly three decades, she has guided women toward hope, healing, and a life that can flourish in Christ after abortion and now educates and trains others to disciple those who have been impacted by abortion.
